Abstract: |
To study the treatment of the rlysostaphin on endometritis of dairy cow, 359 dairy cows clinically diagnosed with either acute or chronic endometritis were selected from the dairy farm in Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Guangzhou and Shanghai for the treatment by uterine infusion, using penicillin sodium and oxytetracycline as control groups. Uterine secretions of these dairy cows were collected for bacteriological isolation and identification. Of 249 testing dairy cows, statistical analysis showed that E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus and purulent Corynebacterium were the main pathogens with higher detection rate. The testing group treated with 800、1200U rlysostaphin every one day for 3 times showed the recovery rate at 80%, similar to that of the groups treated by oxytetracycline and significantly higher than that of the groups treated by penicillin. The recovery rate of endometritis improved with additional lysostaphin administration. The rate of pregnancy was 70% which is improved significantly after the treatment of rlysostaphin. For chronic endometritis of dairy cows resistant to the conventional antibiotics treatment, the efficacy of the rlysostaphin treatment remained. In summary, rlysostaphin can be used safely and efficiently to treat the endometritis of cows. |
