| Abstract: |
| The aim of this review paper is to introduce the impending necessity of carrying out the epidemiology and surveillance of antimicrobial resistance (AR) in bacteria of animal origin. The background in epidemiology and surveillance of developed countries and the present situation of this field in China are also included. The existing problems in epidemiology and surveillance of AR in bacteria of animal origin in China are pointed out and six advices on improving the prevention and control of AR are also suggested |
